Old Man & His Bowflex

OK, I'm not that old - 54. I've been working out in my basement for 30 years, but it's only been in the past 4 or 5 years that I was worried about working out alone. Something about having a 50# dumbbell arch back and ripping out my shoulder just wasn't all that appealing, which was ironically why I bought my Bowflex.
I bought it used for $700.00, and it came complete with the leg attachment and the pull down station. This is really all that anyone needs. I have a curl bench from my free weight days that works great at the foot end of the Bowflex. With a few lengths of chain, I easily adapted the Bowflex for use with a standard incline bench (I always found the Bowflex method to be awkward).
I've been able to maintain my workouts, worry-free and most importantly - injury free. The workouts are fast, challenging and effective.
No, I don't look like one of those waxed and ripped Bowflex models, and to be honest,I think that is misleading since 90% of people who work out will never look like that.
Still, I love my Bowflex. It's maintenance free and the price was right. There's plenty of used ones on the market, so I would advise anyone to look there first, since it's almost impossible to wear one out.
Good luck.
