My Bowflex Extreme 2 experience.....

I bought a Bowflex Extreme 2 from the original purchaser this past spring. The gym was just over a year old and wasn't used but a few times. I used the gym quite a bit when I bought it then not much at all over the summer months.
Within the last two weeks I have started my training regimate over again and this morning I was doing simple tricep extensions with the lat bar, using both 50lb power rods and one snapped off about 10 inches above the base! So I went online to see what the warranty was on these and find that the warranty does not transfer?! I also have read in a blog one customer knocked out two teeth and had to get stitches on his lip when his power rods snapped while doing simple curls! This is rediculous!
The bowflex is a very well built home gym but if the power rods aren't capable of holding up to normal every day use, what good is it? I am going to make an attempt to resolve this issue with Bowflex tomorrow, we'll see what happens, the 50lb power rods aren't exactly cheap.....
Somewhat unhappy customer- Dave
